ONLY AVAILABLE UNTIL JUNE 12
RATE: Controls the rate of both modulation types at once.
MIX: This is the wet-dry blend between the input signal and the effect, from 100% dry to 100% wet.

DEPTH: Governs the intensity of the modulation.
X/F: This knob adjusts the frequency at which the two effects separate. This is not tied to modulation frequency, but rather by guitar frequency content. Every frequency below the X/F point will feed into a phaser, while everything above will feed into a chorus.
*The X/F is a precision dial that can have some powerful effects with some practical application. If you find yourself playing entirely within one register, you can split the register for some interesting modulation effects, or set the crossover point to sit just above your normal register such that all harmonic content gets sent to the chorus. Setting this knob as an informed player makes much more of a difference than most controls on other pedals. Act accordingly!
The X/F (Proto 6) accepts a pedal-standard center-negative DC plug capable of supplying between 9 and 18 volts, with at least 64mA of current (over is fine). Anything other than that (higher than 18, center-positive, AC, etc.) will cause the Pads to function improperly, with the worst case scenario being that your pedal is ruined. Can’t recommend it.
Not a day goes by at HQ where we’re not tinkering with something on our breadboards. Our engineers have piles of passion projects they work on between other projects. Sometimes those projects are victims of part obsolescence, while other times they don’t reach the final stage because of plain old indecisiveness. A few designs have never seen the light of day because they may appeal to a narrower audience than our regular stuff, or they might have never seen a logical opening in the release schedule. We have special connections to everything we create and are using this to launch our new line initiative, Proto Club, where you can experience these designs and provide us with your feedback, maybe leading to a full-scale release. The release windows on these pedals are limited; some may only be available for a couple of weeks. If this all sounds good to you, we’ll catch you down at the Proto Club.
Every first Proto Club purchase comes with a Proto Club Passport booklet with the first page stamped. Each subsequent Proto Club pedal comes with a new sticker. As you fill up the book with stickers, you will be eligible for bonus stuff, including pedals that are either unreleased or even staple production pedals. Additionally, the price of Proto Club pedals is significantly lower than if it were to be a normal retail release.
